Pete has overseen the evolution of LEARNZ since its beginnings in 1995. His expertise in the development of virtual field trips has been utilised by a number of countries. Pete has overall responsibility for Heurisko's e-learning projects.

Barrie started as the LEARNZ Webmaster before moving into a wider technical role with LEARNZ. Now with 10 years involvement in LEARNZ, and a former career as a teacher, Barrie brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to his new role of LEARNZ Project Manager.

Ivan joined the LEARNZ team in 2006. His main responsibility is the website for LEARNZ virtual field trips. He works closely with the LEARNZ teachers ensuring that the field trip experience is as real as can be!

Paul joined the team this year with a background in teaching physical sciences and engineering in schools and universities in the UK, USA and New Zealand. He was Head of Chemistry at Wanganui Collegiate School before joining LEARNZ. His outdoor interests have included sailing, kayaking, fly fishing, mountain tramping and sport (mostly football). He is looking forward to pursuing these interests on the Mainland both professionally and recreationally.

Shelley joined the team in 2009 after successfully using LEARNZ to support inquiry based learning programmes in her classroom. Coming from a school where she was in charge of Science and Outdoor Education Shelley brings 10 years teaching experience and her interest and enthusiasm for the outdoors to the LEARNZ programme.

Andrew moved with his family from the North Island to join the LEARNZ team in 2009. He experienced great success using virtual field trips in the classroom at Parakai School where he was a teaching deputy principal.
